Where do buy a full size metal slinky?

I'm in Christchurch, I've got a mini metal slinky, but I accidentally got it tangle, and after I untangled it, it got all stretched.

So, looking for a replacement, and might get a full size version this time, anyone know where I could get one?

Or alternatively, know how to de-stretch a slinky?

Those things are so cool. My school had a full size metal slinky and it was legendary.
I think the teacher said they were about $70 but I don't know where from.

*Looks at me $6 slinky*

$70!?

My high school has one as well, but it was definitely stretched, tangled, and worned out, and they insisted on calling it a wave simulator.

Hope there's a consumer version of the full size slinky available for slightly less than your school's one.

I partly want a full size one 'cos mine one isn't big enough to go down stairs.

I remember doing that experiment, back in 4th form.

Have you tryed ToyWorld ? If that fails I would go to a novelty toy store? (Thats where I would try.

Try here of course you would have to pay shipping but at only US$6.99 a lot less than $70.

You can even get a gold plated one for US$99.

Or here in nz has em for 2.95 (but you might need to be an education provider to get em).
