That damn Steam sale

So far I've bought: Batman AC +DLC, Portal2, Metro2033 (mostly from Craig's screenshots), DeusEx Human Revolution, Driver San Francisco, Bulletstorm and one of the Assassin's Creed games I hadn't played.

What have you guys bought so far?

Surprisingly nothing. I've looked every day and nothing has really tickled my fancy. I really should get AC: Revelations as it's the only one I haven't currently played. However, I've heard it is pretty average compared to the rest. I really do enjoy the series so it would be silly not to buy it. Dammit. To answer your question I've bought AC: Revelations.

I'm also hanging out for ARMA II to go on special in order to play the Zombie mod that everyone is raving on about

Cheers for the headsup, I havent gamed in months apart from a bit of Skyrim

Just purchased Mount & Blade Complete Collection for $8.74 (today only)

I only played the original M&B which is one of the best games Ive ever played (especially with major mods) and the Multiplayer should be wicked and rather unique.

Also bought Medieval II Total War + Kingdoms for 6 bucks.

Edit: Ill get Metro 2033 too

I think everyone is waiting for that. The server load the next day will be madness.

That is a school boy error. You'll know for next time - unless it is a daily or flash deal, the discount price will hold until the end of the sale.

There are a few places (reddit that I know of) that have members buying up a couple of extra DL keys at the reduced prices to trade with people that missed them. I'm not in deep enough to spend money on the off chance one of my mates has missed out, but it is a good idea, especially with the six/ten hour flash deals.

I've picked up Trine 2 and Spellforce 2 so far, Haven't played Spellforce yet but Trine 2 is very sweet, looks really good in Eyefinity.
Keeping an eye daily on bargains...

I am playing DeusEx: Human Revolution - it's on sale right now - and am really enjoying it. I'm playing as stealthy as I can and it is fun. Worth the money.

EDIT: Also, I bought LA Noire yesterday.

For those that bought Arma II early. It is on sale today for $17.99. Time to buy

Also for those wanting to wait, apparently DayZ is becoming a stand alone release in September

I loved the crap out of Stalker - the mod support meant I went back through each game twice. Really my sort of game.

Well, the steam sale is over now - lucky of the wallet, and my backlog of games to clear in the coming months is looking full. I bought the Saint's Row III 'Franchise Pack' on the last day of the sale for $10(?). Everyone says it is great fun.

The only game I wanted to buy that I didn't was Just Cause 2 - and that was because I am still running WinXP and it requires Win7/Vista. I read the other day the Microsoft will offer $40 upgrades from almost any Win version to Win8 when it is released. I'm sure they are targetting people like me that are still running XP (and Office 2003!).

Have a look at office 2013, I imagine we are going to see similar numbers of people insist that 2010 was the last good one once that hits the stores.
Of course we are also going to see just as many proclaim it to be the greatest thing since Lotus 1-2-3

STALKER SOC and COP were awesome fun, very atmospheric, Metro2033 is too linear for starters , IMO

For Office2010 there is a program around that removes the ribbon thing

I spent AUD$200

Arma II: Combined Operations (ROW)
Star Ruler
Costume Quest
Stacking
Quantum Conundrum Season Pass
Capsized
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Standard Edition
Crysis 2 Maximum Edition
Red Orchestra Franchise Pack (ROW)
Gratuitous Tank Battles
Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition
Total War Mega Pack - Sep 2011
Summer Sale Indie Bundle Day Seven
Wargame: European Escalation

A few of them I already regret. I guess it makes up for all the years I've spent not-supporting developers...

p.s. I do this every time.
