Which Video Card?

Hiya,

Rummaging around in my Dad's attic looking for another SATA cable I found a brand new in the box the Gigabyte GT220 with 1GB DDR3. I asked if he was going to use it and said no.
My backup machine is running a generic 7900GS with 256MB.

How much of an upgrade is this??? Cause it's a bit of a mission to pull the case out from behind the work bench. And I mainly use it for CoralDraw, Photoshop (laser cutter/CNC stuff), basic desktop stuff and GTAIII VC+SA (while waiting for the cutting to cut )

I think the extra RAM alone would make the switch worthwhile for the coraldraw and photoshop applications. I doubt you'd see so much of a difference in GTAIII to take your breath away. DX10 vs DX9, perhaps might make a visual difference?

EDIT: I'm sure there is a better site to compare the fill rates and memory bandwidth etc...
