Now, after we have upgrade from simple P2P network to switch + router me and my mates having problems sharing our stuff.

When even I want to see the network it said I don't have permission? While he can see the network but he got "no permission to access" to my shared folder

Also whenever he wants to print the page I have to restart my PC, which during the window start up it will then print the pages out, but once the window has finished loading he can't print anymore

Btw we both use Win XP pro, and we can surf the net alright, but just having problem seeing each other

easiest way to solve network problems with XP is to start again. right click my network places, select properties and then under networking tasks on the left select "set up a home or small office network". run it on both computers, follow the instructions and see how you go. :)

That and make some user accounts on each others PC for the other persons login name.

All my PCs (98/2K) need accounts made on the 2K units to use shares. Its also a lil more secure than the default 'guest' account it uses to browse. You can allow particular access to the diff logins.
