REVOLUTIONARY DISCT@2 TECHNOLOGY BURNS GRAPHICS & TEXT ONTO CD-R DISKS

Now you can write those CD-Keys directly onto the media when you make backups for archiving.

Check this new technology out:

Damn that's cool :p

I think it was mentioned on the old forum.
Glad to see they have actually released the drives, it is annoying when cool tech like this never makes it to market.
Although I'm still suspicious that Yamaha are just trying to get us to buy more media. Think about it, with this CD-RW would you ever want to get as much data onto each disk as possible? No, infact you'll probably want as much space as possible, for the cool graphics.
I wounder how much they will cost and when they are being released in NZ.

That's right give the star to A666, never mind I said it first. Stupid stars. Who says I would have wanted one anyway. Dumb stars.

*soob soob*:)

Acording to the article, most/all major CD-Writer manufacturers will be supporting this feature. Maybe here in no time at all. Might just be a software patch as well, who knows.

I forsee it now. What once could fit on just one disk will now take up five. ".... but look at the pretty pictures" :p

Did I mention I want one. :D

*looks over at LiteOn angrily "why can't you be more like that drive" :D

hmmm when reading a disc the laser only focuses on one part at the time. So you could have like a dual-layer disc (like some DVDs). That way you can have your 700MB as well as the cool pic.
