Ive got a Gainward Geforce 4 Ti4200 128ddr vivo as many of you know. I'm trying to use the Tv in function using Wincoder which comes with the card.
All is fine except that the bottom of the picture is cut off, i've tried changing resolution and aspect ratio but it always seems to cut it off. Any suggestions. I'll show a pic soon

Hmm...
Try narrow down what could be the problem so you can determine if it's the gainward card's fault.. (which is quite likely)
Try different input sources (ie: a different tv or video player)
If you're using nvidia reference drivers, have you tried using vid card drivers from the gainward site? Gainward might be using a TV In/out chip not well supported in the nvidia ref drivers.

what standard are you using? pal/ntsc? and then what region-specific standard are you using? pal B? pal G? pal I? etc etc

It could be my cable going from the card to my vcr, Ill also try from a tv. But my cable did snap a while ago as a result of running over it with a chair with wheels (best i could think of). I have soldered and insulated the cable (cost $50) and it still works.
I am using Gainward drivers both the vivo drivers and the 29.20 gainward dets.
Anywayz, ill try the tv and report back

its your resolution possibly........ I will bet that you use a res equivalent to PAL it will work
eg I think 768x576? ....... you might need to mod your drivers INI file to achieve this.........

Ok I've sorted it out now, it was a problem with Wincoder, so I switched to Power VCR and tis fine now

I just tried for the first time to use this, using S-Video from my DVD player...and I get nothing...it tells me there was an error trying to use MPEG2 encoding or something, and when I tell the options to not use that, to use DiVX or something similar...it ignores me and resets it self back to that stupid default.
