please discover that we have two forums dedicated just to you!

1) The Newbies forum. This would be IDEAL!!! Especially considering you yourself admit this:

hey im a new...

...bie

2) The General Help/Troubleshooting forum. This would be secondary, and is just so plain simple considering that it has the key word "help" in its name, and will you look at that, this thread title has that very same keyword "help" Coincidence? I think not.

I have moved this thread to newbies, please try to think about where your threads would be appropriately placed in the future.

ok now, bye bye :p

depends if your motherboard supports dual channel.

If it doesnt more ram will just igve you more ram :D.

Some games like bf hog ram so ram is allways good. i have 512 when i play bf it uses 99%.. if i had the money id get 1 gig of ram

Do you know more info on your harddrive? ie if it has a 2mb or 8 mb cache and what model it is?

There are so many products you cant expect us to know what you got..

Im going to assume your here to get some overclocking advice while getting some techincal advice on your new computer ...

Firstly it would be a really good idea to find out just what type of motherboard you have (make/model) and start to learn your way around your BIOS and motherboard features , its not a silly idea to have a read of your motherboard manual that came with the computer, this is especially important if you intending to do a overclock for more speed and if not even to just learn what and how certain things work/are done on your motherboard.

I found most if not all of any questions I could ask here about my hardware can indeed be found from the manufacturer or from the manuals provided with the hardware. :D

Samsung don't make an 8Mb drive yet AFAIK. In fact if it is a 5400rpm drive, it will only be 512k cache. That said, they make very very very reliable drives. While not the quietest or fastest, I have only ever had one fail out of 3-400.

Also new person: Dove RAM at present is very very...AVERAGE. I don't know where they are getting it but a large portion of it is faulty, and the rest is lucky to run stably at it's rated speed. If you can, try and get it swapped for something else.
