View Full Version : BP6 wont turn on
I got a bp6 with dual 433's and 256 MB ram.
With out any drives plugged in when i turn the PSU switch (on the back) on it powers up straight away and then turns off after 4 seconds. Then it wont turn on unless i turn of the PSU for a about 10 seconds and then turn it on again.
ie. the power button on the case doesn't do anything.
i have checked the power button so it seems its the psu cutting out because sometimes the screen will fire up for about 1 second. But youd think a 320 watt icute psu would be enough to boot dual celeries and no drives.
the PSU will run an athlon 900 and four drives so any other ideas??

Sounds like the mobo has a power problem to me......
BUT:
To make sure it isn't the power button, terminate the PWR_ON pins with a screwdriver.

well this is a long shot - but i know there are a few BP6s floating around the secondhand market with fu><0red BIOSes (flash gone wrong)...
Where did you get this from?
Have you checked that the cpus work in another machine?
