small printer sharing on network problem

I have a laptop on WinXP and another rig with Win2000 with the printers.

My problem is I would need to access the Win2000 machine through "My network places" and enter in the username:Administrator , no password everytime i restart the laptop or not It would just give me an access denied for the printers.

Only after accessing the win2k machine through the network, would I be able to use the printer on the laptop.

Is there any way I could rectify this?

Try Setting the permissions on the Printer to "Everyone"

If that fails you may also need to enable the guest account and give it only access to the printer or create an account on the W2K machine for your laptop user.
