Hi Everyone

This is to find out who have the highest overclocked memory speed from any video card. I will start mine first as this is quite extraordinary

GF4 Ti4400 128MB 3.6ns Samsung Tiny BGA DDR

Default @ 275Mhz/552Mhz
O/C @ 310Mhz/720Mhz

Difference is about 170Mhz. Got a score of 11069 from 3DMARK 2001SE Build 330 running XP 1900+ CPU. Hope to see more thread soon =)

Perhaps it should be a %age comparison.

One of Hans' Leadtek MXs went from 166MHz to 260Mhz! ( over 56% increase! )

I think the fastest GPU memory I've come across is someone that got their Ti4600 past 800MHz.

Unfortunately, I've got a 3rd party Radeon7500 ATM, and the memory isn't even happy at default :(.

Still - that's a pretty good OC. Most of the guys here with Ti4400's are running at Ti4600 spec ( 650MHz ). So 700MHz+ is doing pretty well for a card that's significantly cheaper than a Ti4600.

Are you just using stock cooling? What brand card is it?

My Leadtek Ti4200 was 250/550 or something, (overclocked as soon as it hit the slot) and its currently quite happy at 300/630 and adding 5 mhz here and there till I find me a limit!

haha! I have the same R7500 and mine goes ok @ 330/260 (not that I run it at that I keep a safety band of 10mhz just in case) but don't worry, overclocking the mem don't make much difference on the R7500, it doen't need the extra bandwidth much, some guy has his @ 350/270 which then actully benifits from OCed mem

I was running stock cooling and it was the Triplex Millennium Silver GF4 Ti4400 128MB. Somehow i think the silverlised PCB design did help in achieving that high speed overclocking by enhanced cooling the area. Anyway, the latest Triplex Millennium Silver GF4 Ti4200 64MB & 128MB will be in NZ soon. Anyone interested ? Here is the pictures of the 64MB Version. Review of the 64MB version can be found at www.dansdata.com while the 128MB is on www.tweakers.com.au

hmmm, only if you use the Red-cars-go-faster theory, first posited by Nigel Icetry.....

That's a pretty good OC for a no name brand. How much are they going for, do you know?

Damn I like that silver, whether it is helpful or not. :p

The highest Memory overclock I got was on a Powercolor GF2 GTS2 Pro - the memory was clocked @ 375MHz and I got it up to 480MHz an increase of 105MHz. So that's a 28% OC. Pretty good for the budget as hell Powercolor, and the RAM was 25MHz lower than Nvidia design specification aswell.

With my Leadtek GF3 Ti200 TDH 128MB, I can get an extra 89MHz out of the memory. It's default is 401MHz, it's maximum is 490MHz (even then there are artifacts detected, but don't show up in 3DMark2001). So I can get a 22.2% OC. Not that great, but I can get the core up to 265MHz from 175MHz. That's a 51.4% OC.

IMO, it's the core overclock that's more important. :D

For geforce2 series though - the ram is pretty much the be all and end all. I noticed no difference in 3dmark with core at 200 or 220 on my Mx. The ram going up 20mhz was a different story.

For the record my powercolor GF2 MX the ram topped out at 192-194 or so. Thats up from 166. Could be worse - some of the Powercolor MX cards that DSE stocked came with 143mhz ram...

Triplex have been around in Taiwan since 1991 and they are the exclusive provider of ET3000 & ET4000 back in the old days. It is normal we haven't heard of it as they didn't do a lot of media internationally (only local). But it is difference now, Triplex card are selling like hot cakes in Australia and hopefully New Zealand will be soon....: )

Hopefully it won't be far for the Triplex card to arrive in NZ....I will see how the Ti4600 perform when i get my hand on one of those. :D

HEHEHE......are you interested in getting my Ti4400 once i got the Ti4600 to play with =)

Btw, i saw on the other thread that Cardex is releasing another Ti4200 that is clocked to Ti4400 speed (275Mhz/570Mhz) with 3.3ns Ram. I wonder how would the Triplex GF4 Ti4200 64MB 3.3ns compare to that. Anyone interested in knowing the result ?

Whats the Leadtek GF4 Ti4400 and 4600 core/mem normally?

My Ti4200 is running smoothly at 305/645 at the moment...I'm not sure if I should push it any further...

Stable in 3dMark2k1, SoF2, MOHAA, AA, and the internet!!

Crazy.
