With my last 2 tv-out cards, install the nvidia drivers, then plug into tv then change to S-Video on the tv and wow ;)

Seems to work ok, whats your card though?

This just replicates my desktop again btw

Not too sure if the reference drivers will work....I was told once that to use TV out you usually need to get the manufacturers drivers, eg Leadtek, ASUS drivers.

Not too sure on this but it's what I can remember reading or being told....either that or it's all in my imagination and I'm just making it up ?!?

Quack quack ?

the sequence is impotant... u gotta plug the tele in 1st before u try nView... aslo try running @ 800by600 on your primary 1st then span or clone - TV res being limited to 8by6 anyway...

As far as I know I thought nView was a Geforce 4 feature :( My old Geforce 2 ti could only do either monitor or TV not both at the same time

Sorry Binky, I have never used TV/Out before. Why?? Coz I don't have a TV in my room.

However, you might want to try these though.

you won't be able to use the TV-out for a second display. GF3s only have one RAMDAC and one output which can be switched between D-Sub/DVI and TV-out.

as for getting it to work... check to see if there is a switch on the back of your telly with the label "terminate" or something like that. the tv-out on most vid cards needs a terminated connection or the feature is disabled.

however, download tvtool and/or tvcc (do a google) and give them a whirl. i think they work around the termination issue and one or the other should work... and it should be just a matter of clicking a button to change between outputs.
