I don't have the TVGuide so could someone tell me what it's about exactly? At the moment it sounds like a Doco about Rod Stewart impersonators......

These rod things are like Flying saucers. Dunno what it's all about exactly just saw the ad for it and thought the "moon landing" crowd would get a kick out of rant/raving about it afterwards.

Watched some of it inbetween deliveries at work, someone tell me more of what happened!

apparently there: flying saucers that travel too fast for us to see, but not our video camera and they can travel through walls and stuff..

was that write? wat else did they moan about?

Hmm, i remember seeing something on this when i was like 9 on 20/20 or whatever the crappy hard-copyesque program was on back then.
And i was cynical of it back then.
Perhaps it is an artifact of film, perhaps a undiscovered species, with a very unusual body structure.
I don't know, and i dont really care, it is mildly interesting to me, but no sleep will be lost ;)

i don't know why you guys are so sceptical. of course the media will sensationalise it, but it doesn't mean it's not real.

i didn't see the doco last night but i did see a small segment on rods a few years ago. and like i said, i have actually caught one on tape before and it's entirely impossible that it was a lens artifact or anything like that.

they aren't a hoax, but it is still completely unclear as to what exactly they are. they could be beings of energy, or perhaps a result of interdimensional ghosting, or a number of different things. we know so very very little about what goes on around us, so it would be utterly foolish to think "it's like nothing i know, so it's not real".

I was watching an american baseball came, and the pitcher threw the ball, anyway on the way to the batter, it colided with one of these Rods, and completly broke it in half so it couldn't fly any more. The slow motion replays were awesome.

Then all thses little, I'm talking about an inch high green men wandered out from the Rod. Needless to say they were promptly arested cause no one is allowed on the field except the players and the umpires during the game. I think they were also charged with not paying for a ticket to watch the game.:D

So yes they are real.

Well, I dont doubt the RODS are some form of life we havent yet classified, not necessarily AYE-LEE-EENS. The show did nothing to convince me, other than reaffirming to me that Americans are stupid.

The footage of crap flying about in space...please tell me this wasnt a joke, so I stop fearing for humanity. Surely it was obvious they were just rocks or metal crap from other American space adventures...especially seeing as they were all round, and the rods were ROD SHAPED!

Stupid gaaddamn people, they ought to be skewered by rods!

It seems like there is a new discovered lifeform, but still pretty hard to believe. They must stop to eat something, and they can't live forever so why haven't they found dead ones? I spose they have some answers for these questions. But it was interesting if they are in fact real.

Fools, they are everyday dragonfly thingys. u never seen 2 atatched to eachother end on end flying around? Well, what we have here is a right orgy:eek: Those little buggers are atatching in chains of 4 or more and of course with all the excitment their little wings a doing overtime hence the extra speed ;)

Dirty little buggers :rolleyes:
