Well my LiteOn 40*12*48 arrived today :D
As I'm quite a n00b to burning, I'd like to know what programs everyone uses and why. I've installed Nero and InCD as they came with the drive.

i use nero, just because it was the first decent burning software released... and it does everything i need. before nero i used to use CDRWIN - okay but finnicky. i also tried fireburner which is pretty damn cool considering it's size...

NTI is way better than Nero, but both will not copy some CD's, thats when I bring out the CloneCD.

I use Nero for compilation cds simply because of its ease of use
For copying cds that have safedisc 2 or sumthing I use clone cd.

Is CloneCD ideal for "ghosting" CDs. Ie OS's, etc.
Anyone got a link? (Yes I know I can google, but I'm here) :D

I use Nero most of the time but also occasionally use NTI.
As for Clone CD (http://www.elby.org/) I haven't used it yet, but that is the link.

I use adaptec easiCD yuk yuk
actually it is easy to use and that, it came with my burner, but it doesn't have many advanced options
I plan to upgrade my burner soon and the one I'm getting (Aopen 40x) comes with Nero which I've wanted for sometime

CDRWIN for *ahem* writing .bin (with .cue file) cd images
Clone CD for creating images from CD's, and perfect 1 to 1 copies.
Nero, Easy CD Creater.. practically anything for plain ole burning or creating audio cd's.

Me uses NERO for everything, well everything that involves burning CD's.....like I wouldn't use NERO if I was making a cheese sandwich.....mmmmmm cheese sandwich. DAMNIT why do I always run outa cheese whenever I want a cheese sandwich ! Oh and sometimes CloneCD.....I don't mean I run outa CloneCD when I want a cheese sandwich, just that I sometime use CloneCD.........to copy CD's !
So to recap, me uses NERO and sometime CloneCD for the real tricky ones, and I'm outa cheese :(
Quack quack
hmmm quackers.....cheese and quackers......DAMN YOU CHEESE !!!
