I just got an Icicle wb and glacial rad (OCNZ ones) and I am planning to convert the 3/8" barbs to 1/2" .

I have looked at one of Whetu's post which had a wee mention of it which states "cap the mounting holes and redrill and tap on the end of the rad" but I have no idea what that means.

Anyone can guide me along this? I have a Drill here available to me...what attachments do I need...

Thanks

take a closer look at the placement of the 3/8" barbs on the rad. if you remove them, there's very little chance you're going to bore out the holes for 1/2" barbs. what i meant was you'd have to remove the 3/8" barbs, put in caps (which can be purchased from plumbing places/engineering supplies) and drill your new barb mount holes on the bottom of the radcap

as per this quick chop image... right angle barbs on the end

ok gues I will wait, I will just slip some 3/8inch over the barb now and then put the 1/2inch tubing over the 3/8 one :)
