Does anyone know any irc channels like that say a windows one and a general hardware one? Or any other chat client for that?

we were/are considering having one here...

but until that decision is made, there are plenty of websites out there that can help you get a start... and we are always here to answer questions...

maybe if youre lucky one of the senior members here will allow you to contact them via Instant Messaging and take you under his or her wing

*hint hint at you senior members* :D

nah thats cool, I dont wanna be a pain :D
I just find it strange that with all the millions of minority interest websites and irrelevant irc channels that there isnt a well established chatroom where people can go and talk about computer hardware wether its help or just discussing products.
Same for a windows chatroom I spose.

The idea was we had a channel that was more 'web based' . You can still access it via mirc or your favourite IRC client, but you could just use the web applet to connect.

Twas an idea. But I'd start at general #help channels on any decent network such as undernet or efnet, and go from there.

#windowsXP on the undernet is well populated, as is #windowsNT.
I have actually recieved help in #windowsXP, they will kick you automatically if you are in any wares/serial channels, or ask about such things in the channel.
