Do you have the Christchurch telephone Directory?

If you do you could ring around, and find out.

Ok, lets just imagine. Ring one warehouse "can you hold".....5 mins later "I'll put you through to music section"....5 mins later "can you hold"...."no we have no CDs" yadda yadda

Easier to ask peeps here.

Advice is easier to give then take also (oh the irony)

Slightly different but hte TDK ones that they sell at TWH are very good although they are slightly dearer (though they are rated at 24x) 29.99 for 25 cds from memory.

well the big issue is that my CDRW is a picky little b*tch but i know the transonics work nicely. i just don't really wanna buy a $30 pack of coasters if you know what i mean :D

TWH had 25 Verbatim for $20 recently. They're good. The TDKs are good as well.

edit/ I find Melody to be the best.

arrrhh, i hate transonic. i tried to burn 699mb on a *700mb * cd and of course it didn't work, but enter faithful melodys, only 10 4 10 at dick head smiths and they never fail, ever.

BTW i got a pack of 10 imation 32x from dragon pc with slim cases 4 $8.95. hows that for a good deal!!

I use princo, they are only about $23, but if you know Dragon well he will give to you for $20.

Those melody ones were sweet aye.

Oh and some great advice, avoid all Kodak pos. They are the crappest cdr I have come across

harvey normans apparently have a promo on at the mo... $5 for a pack of 10... limit 3 packs tho. still that's not bad. but i want my transonics ;)

BTW, i've successfully burnt 715MB on a transonic CD ;)

I haven't used Princo myself. But I know someone that did and found that they were all unreadable after a year.

I just bought those cheap pack of 10 cdr's for 4.95 from Harvey Norman, they look alright, will have to see how they perform. ANyone else using them?

BTW, out of 20 Transonics, i never wasted a single one, all came out OK.

I bought a few packs, used a few they seem to, well, be CDs if you know what I mean no problems so far(only used 4) but just burnt a DivX to one at uni today, and watched it at a friends house off the CD no probs at all, so for 50c a disk it is all good. Also I used Kodaks when I first got my CD writer, they were good, Mr Data on the other hand were the worst I've found.

ive burnt up to 725mb on to good old transonics on my A-open that has overburn, very handy. Yeah transonics are good I reckon and the Warehouse usually has sh*it loads of them. Ive used princo and melody and both are good. Ive also used verbatim as well.

im tempted to try overburn but im just a bit paranoid

haven't had much use that would save $1 for another cd and not risk damaging my burner. has anyone done any damage by overburning??

most new burners should be fine with it after all they can burn 99 minute cds so it is no different than that... the only thing is if the media can handle it

i tried one at 32x writing an audio cd... it was completely stuffed when i tried to play it,

ATM im using verbatim CDs rated to 24x, but burn perfectly at 32x

and they cost me 13.50 for a box of ten with full sized cd cases, not those small skinny ones

hehe

Just went to Dicky Smitty for some headphones, and while I was there I noticed there were a couple of boxs of Melody 40* 10 disk packs. I could find a price so I asked the salesman. He couldn't either so after searching his computer to no avail he had to give them to me for the cheaper price. $10 per pack :D
