NCGN 007 is in planning and we are exploring other venue's. You may wonder why we are looking at another venue considering the Hall has been excellent. The major restriction is time; we cannot use the hall after midnight. Also, with increasing numbers I think we are stretching our welcome at the Church Hall. However, we may still use it unless we find another.

The date is Saturday July 19th;
Venue is the Rangiora Baptist Hall.

Time doors open at 10am and price $5.

What you need to bring....

[ ]Power cables and multi-plug adapter (assume u will only get one power plug)

[ ]All your driver, game and O/S Cd's (better safe than sorry)
[ ]CAT 5 or 6 cable with an RJ45 plug at each end - the longer the better (You must label it please!!)
[ ]Blank CD's for those all important backups

yea well we have had this date planned and penciled in for two months as it is the 1st aniversary of our first official lan
we had this date before KJ and Solid had even worked out if they were going to hold another lan let alone set a date for L3#15

Ive updated the website with photo's from NCGN 006; there aren't many because we were all too busy playing!!

Will be an awesome week with L3 and then next weekend NCGN. BTW the games list as Oneil posted is a little old so if a game is popular, guaranteed someone will host a server.

It's looking more like the Baptist Hall will be our venue so if you don't hear any different that's where we will be :)

Right I've done my exam and for the next week I'm going to be putting most of my outside of work hours into helping Josh finalise the venue

venue for 007 to be finalised on wednesday

we are very sad to see L3#15 delayed by venue issues and hope to see some of the disaffected attendees at our event

We do not decide on a date until the forthcoming Lan is over. Basically we need some time to have a break and start the planning again. We do have dates/times/venues in mind but it is pointless confusing everybody if we have to change it. Althought we have no choice but to make changes sometimes :(

However all is well and looks like we will have plenty of servers!

I am really sorry NCGN. I can't quite lend my server away. I made a major error in my calculations and the "6th" server I have is missing RAM & HDD. With those two, I am not going to be able to give it to you.

Ahh .. I hate when this happens. The real story behind this as well, was that this server was all built up for you guys, but then Dragon just sent me back my other Shuttle to -> DUNEDIN. So I have to go down and test the Shuttle with these parts, since I will probably want to use it.

We don't have an official sign up as of yet. Your post here is fine.

I think our webserver was just having some problems. I've checked the usage statistics and we hadn't transfered our allocation so i guess it's just one of those things. We have had pretty good service though considering we don't pay anything and they have no annoying ad's :)

See Solid Snake has taken his server from you as well :( I was going to bring my one anyway as a back up, it's running a duron 1200 with 512mb ram so should be sweet to use for most games. You guys are more than welcome to use it for whatever game. So far has UT2003 installed and BF1942 was going to put CS on it as well. Will bring along my 5 port switch to just incase :)

I'm pleased that people liked DC Christchurch
{.bLanK} will be having a small LAN in a couple of weeks once we're all back at course and sorted.
20 odd people, mainly DC oreintated.

Yea that was a dam good LAN fellas. Lots of leeching done, some good stuff there actually. Battlefield, some good games there, but the best was Raven shield. There wasnt many of us playing, mostly Sumo, myself, Sydog, and a couple of others. Awesome games of that :D

All in all good LAN and I'll be looking forward to the next one :D

Well Guys form my perspective a very sucessfull Lan
No problems on the day
Great Gaming especially the {.blank} DcCHCH map - that kicked ass
Wolf : ET is amazing requires teamwork to the extent that one TKing idiot can almost loose a round for a team not looking at anyone in perticular (dragonflame)

Financially a sucess our server is now fully paid for!

30 paying players about 10 - 15 spectators and at one point 35 or 36 rigs hooked into the switches

Look for an announcement on the next lan about the middle of next week say round the 31st
