What software am I suppose to use?

Let me get this straight - the default software that comes with it doesn't let you record??

BUMMER!! :(

My Dynalink TView ( they never used to be cheap cards - but they're pretty good quality ) has software that can record. If you so desire you can even record on the fly to DivX or any other codec ( obviously assuming you've got the CPU horsepower to do so ;) ).

But that card uses the Brooktree Fusion chipset, so I don't think the software would work on it :(. Might be worth a try though? ( just the software, not the drivers )

FlyDS didn't work in safe mode (non-brooktree chipset)?

k, with the card, I have the drivers for the TV capture thing,

but no software, I have owned FlyVideo 2000, Dynalink one, and now own FlyVideo 98 so I have quite a lot of experience with TV Tuners etc,

but can someone point me in the right direction to software which will let me record stuff and more importantly, let me take snapshots of it, cause that's my primary use. Kindda like you have Word for typing letters etc, well, what do you have for TV Tuner stuff?

Also, FlyDS works, but can't find the video input, so does not help me,

ALso it's a Phlips Tv capture chip,

I don't really wanna end up using some dodgey software which will work half the time,

tvtool is a small application for utilising tvout on nvidia cards, eg so you can hook up an nvidia card to your tv. last i checked, philips chipset support on it was sketchy at best. anyways, its only a tvout proggie so no luck there...

personally i'd recommend a video editing application like premiere...

try wincoder, just do a google. It is kinda like powervcr (both can do real time mpeg/2 capture). Either that or icq me and I can tell you how to *cough* reset *cough* the trial period indefinately. Anyways these are basically the cream of the crop for capturing. Icq me b4 u dl and I will tell u where u can get em from
