some of you have probably seen this test before... there's another similar one out there aswell but this one is a little weirder.
oh btw, i'm normal.
---8<---
Carry out this test. Just follow the instructions as quickly as possible but do not carry on reading the following questions before you finish the previous one.
You do not need to write the answers, just do it using your mind.
You'll be surprised.
I was.
Start:
How much is :
15+6
3+56?
...
89+2
12+53
75+26
25+52
63+32
I know! Calculations are hard work but it's nearly over..
Come on, a few more...
123+5
QUICK! THINK ABOUT A TOOL AND A COLOR!
Scroll further to the bottom...
A bit more...
Just a little further...
You have just thought about a red hammer, haven't you????
If this is not the case you are among 2% of the people who have "different" if not "abnormal" mind. 98% of the folks would answer a "red hammer" while doing this exercise.

here's that "other" one i was talking about... again many of you have probably heard this before but for those who haven't:
Think of any number from one to 10.
When you have it, multiply it by 9.
If it's a two-digit number, add them together.
Now, subtract 5 from the number in your head.
Now, think of the letter in the alphabet that corresponds with the number you are thinking about. For instance, if you are thinking of the number "1", it would be "A". Number "2" would be "B". "3" is "C", and so on.
Now, think of a country that starts with the letter you're thinking of... spell the country in your head.
Now think about the second letter in that country's name. Now, quickly think of an animal who's name begins with that letter.
Now, think of the animal's color.
WTF?! Gray Elephants in Denmark?!
varkk
02-07-2002, 12:30 PM
Well most people will get that, as you will always pick the 4th letter in the alphabet, D, and when you ask people for a country starting with D, you will probably get denmark ,then of course E is the next letter, although I thought of eel instead of elephant.

Now I'm stuck with the mental picture of a grey elephant in clogs using a black screwdriver to try and fix the hole in my wall b4 my landlady finds out..........hmmmm maybe I could tell her the elephant did it ?
2 much thinking
02-07-2002, 05:58 PM
hey someones changed that puzzle, :p it used to be that you thought of the country (denmark) and then you had to use the last letter of the country to think of an animal. the most common animal is the Kangaroo and the only other i could think of is koala.
tis funny how things change just like chinese wispers:)
it is the internet tho

lol. you need to brush up on your math dude :)
incase anyone is wondering, the main trick to the second puzzle is that you'll always end up with "D" for your first letter (and most people think of Denmark when they think of a country beginning with D)...
the reason being is that if you take any multiple of 9 and add the individual numbers together you'll get another multiple of nine. so if you keep repeating the process with the resulting number until you're left with a single digit number it will ALWAYS be 9.
for example:
5849302394 * 9 = 52643721546
5 + 2 + 6 + 4 + 3 + 7 + 2 + 1 + 5 + 4 + 6 = 45
4 + 5 = 9
it works with every single multiple of 9.

I was thinking of the number 5, if 5=E then Equador is fine
Although cat duznt start with q I know.
I wasnt thinking of 4, that was the end result. So im picky, wanna fight about it
haha, I saw it straight of when I read,
knowing that any number(x) times 9, (only if x>=1 & x<=10) gives you 9, and since not many ppl know of many countries with D, that's what you get.
This one is made so everyone gets the same,
this one was cool, but i think it's outdated now.
