Just came across your site while looking at reviews & thought id join y'all. I'm about to build & oc my first pc, so might be back for help.

Great to see a NZ based DC hub. Ive been out in the cold since file sharing was limited by quicksilver 6 months ago - 300bytes/sec just aint cutting it when I was getting 15KB/s - got about 80Gig to share but im patient (sigh) No - just checked, im now getting 30bytes/s dling a DClist!! LOL Really p****s me off that someone is getting 12.3KB/s off me. (What r the language rules in here?!?)

Anyway, a question it might be better to ask elsewhere. Im looking at getting a MSI mobo MSI K7N2G-ILSR with a barton2500+ Trouble is the MSI site says the bios v1.0 doesnt support the 2500+ Will the mobo come with the bios updated?

That will do for a hello. I saw some comment that we need to post & be a good community member b4 we get onto the hub - do BUMPs count as posts? hehe

Cheers

welcome along.

there's another hub for you to suffer on before you earn your socks onto ours...

dc.p2p.net.nz

dont expect to find much intelligence there though :(

and no bumps dont count.. they're considered spam, and spamming is frowned upon.

hope you enjoy your time here :)

It may do, but I wouldn't count on it. If you can wait, then wait and see what they do, otherwise buy a board which definatly does support the CPU you want.

sorry varkk. Just understood your reply. The 2500+ is supported in a bios update 1.2 or1.3 or something. But will the mobo come with that, or just the 1.0 which doesnt?

usually mobo's ship with the latest bios installed... you could always ask your retailer to check for you and update the bios if need be...

Ah, I didn't realise that they had already put out a bios which allows the board to support the new chips.
