I know it's hard too test and very subjective but any comments on image quality..?
The 2D is as good as the Leadtek GF4 Ti-4200 under 1280*1024*85 Hz. I can't comment on the image quality of 1600*1200 as the monitor isn't good enough.
There is an AnandTech article on the 2D quality and they say PixelView's 2D is good upto 1600*1200.
According to the result, default speed it scores 7150 3d2k1 marks at 1024x768, yet overclocked it goes all the way up to 9213 3d2k1 marks? Typo perhaps?
On my 4200 I got 9100 default...... with teaking OCing etc I got 10100 and that's a crap OC for the card as well :o

What about the sound of the cooling fan? Can you describe it and compare it to some other GF4 Ti models?
There might be an error in 3DMark 2001 SE's score. Thank. We will fix that up.
The HSF is really quiet. I guess the fans is < 3500RPM. It's the quietest HSF in the Ti range.

Yes :). A 128MB Ti4200 for $409? That's very cheap ( closer to most 64MB Ti4200 prices ). Pray tell - where is this....
? ;)

$ 409.00 + GST [ 460.13 ] is @ pcpieces. Pity about the GST.
Thats could be the best price I have seen for that card. Not as good as I was hoping - but it might get there. Some cheap prices going aorund, but most retailers haven't dropped the price yet.
Styles had it real low, but have now gone back up a few dollars or so. It could be a good thing to hold off purchase for another two weeks to allow more retailers to lower prices? Mind you we are talking about differences of $30-50 - not huge:rolleyes:, but significant.
I'm still torn about which card to get. More frames with the 128mb, and similar OCs with it. But is it worth the money? God knows...

Uhhhh pull over.....politcally correct police here !!!
Mr "NO2Duron" twice in your post you used the word "snigger", I'm afraid in today politically correct world that is deemed NOT appropriate language, and you should now use the correct term "SNEGRO"
Thank you :p

2 monitors is nothing. Want to compete with my TRIPLE monitor setup? 19" + 21" + 19", all at 1280 X 1024.
Hee hee

Hee hee
Are you actually RUNNING that setup yet? Or is it still a dually?
:p :p :D
But yes, dually monitors really do bolster the speed with which you can acomplish most office type tasks, simply due to the ease of multi-tasking.

umm why run them at 1280*1024. Surely they can handle more than that.
