Hehe, I know that feeling, it's great watching all the undergrads walk around nervously as they head to their exams...unfortunatly when they finish exams, they go off and have a break, and I'm still here lsaving away over a hot computer :(

hehe.. !
When the forum was back after it went down I didn't notice for a week that it was back, I was pretty busy at the time..
When I rejoined I was reading a post about how funny it was that KJ who had over 4000 posts in the old forum got to start at 0 again.. out of curiousity I looked at his profile and he already had like 70 posts..!
So just something I noticed..
Haven't you ever looked at peoples profiles or something..?
That's right I'm watching all of you.. /cue evil laugh

Actually - I've had over 4 DIFFERENT people ( interestingly, that DOESN'T include Ragnor ) PM me with 'hey, your post count is...' or 'hey, your posts per page is' PMs....
....it's kinda weird....  :p
*feels for Disco*
But Binky - those are TESTS, they don't count ( OK, so yours are probably 50% tests, but meh! whatever... :p ).
*punches postgrads*

It depends on the postgrad stuff you are doing, I am a masters student, in my subject we have a year of papers(with exams) then we do a twelve month thesis, no exam on that. Other subjects have different rules

I am doing astronomy, looking at the pulsations in the atmospheres in a particular class of variable stars(they are described quite well here (http://www.deltascuti.net), basically I sit in front of a computer all day, except for about once a month I go down to the observatory and sit infront of a computer all night. Although I have finished my observing now so I stay in chch, trying to actually write my thesis(due in soon)

cool - at least your thesis topic would be interesting, as opposed to most others I've heard of :D
