Ok

I'm wanting to get 4 x 80mm sunons (SUNON 80mm Fan KD1208PTS2, 3 pin, 2700RPM, 36.5 CFM ) to cool my case (2x in, 2x out) and I came to the realisation that I have no idea what sort of connectors I need to power them as I've never used case fans before (always left the side of the case off :D)

Looking at stylespc they have:
Fan power adapter, 3pin to 4pin Molex and a
Fan power splitter, 3 pin 1 to 2 splitter

Can anyone give me direction as to which I need/would be better to use?

3 to 4 pin adapters are better. I can't be bothered going into detail about why - someone else can do that.

*Remembers something about the adapters having one female plug and one male plug, meaning you can double the fans up on one cable or something....*

3 pin (plug into motherboard header type)
4 pin (PSU type)

Better to have the power coming straight from seperate (if possible) PSU 4 pin(well 4 hole ..ahem.. ) plugs

So yah a 3 to 4 adapter's are fine... its probably cheaper to buy a bunch of the 4 pin type connectors (from dick smith, jaycar.co.nz.. your local electrical store etc).. chop of the three pin one and replace..

Isn't too hard..

or make a fanbus and wire them all in ...
