Just thought I'd start a list.

Can't seem to delete my own posts, even though I get the option. Just comes up with a new screen saying I don't have permission.

I'm sure you Mods are on to this one, but I really miss the 'New Posts Since Last Visit' numbering on the main page.

Hope this is a priority.

one thing I would like to say to all the mods,

you've done a great job and I understand that you've been under heaps of pressure to get the thing up,

so I'm not gonna complain for a while, and when you guys get the time, you can look at the list of the things to fix up, (and what a list it will be)

please don't flame me.. :D

I agree, cheers for getting this up and running again, but as with any new system setup there are some niggling details, oh well I'm sure they will get sorted in due course, as someone mentioned in another thread, good things take time, and most things I've encountered can be worked around by the user so I'm not panicking for a fix or anything

once again thanx

Some things just have to change. We're using VB now, not UT - so some things that used to work are different.

There is a 'View New Posts' page. What's even more helpfull is this is effectively a search, and it only shows each thread once :).

Check it out - top right hand corner of the main page. ;)

True but it's not the same. It's good being able to see the new posts since last visited next to each thread so you can quickly see the latest replies to a particular topic rather than viewing every new post sinse you last visited. I hope this feature will be amended into this new forum as this would be my number 1 Priority.

Other than the black style, the forum is looking good. I like the new OCNZ logo and the custom avters can be a much bigger size.

I'm confused.

Have you tried clicking the 'View New Posts' link that DOES EXIST RIGHT NOW, free of charge ( only while stocks last, batteries not included )?

And yeah, the new avatars r0><0r - I'm gonna have to re-work mine sometime ;).

hmmm we havent even finished setting up forum settings and assigning mods to forums and you want us to implement a forum hack that would *BARELY* replicate how UT managed it? Believe me, that UT feature was one of the handiest moderating tools there was, and we did ask for it. To quote doogie "there comes a time when one has to say no" i'm sorry, but you'll all have to adjust to KJ's way of whoring

"other than the black style" you can read my rants elsewhere on this..

Yeah KJ, i liked that feature, however after a day or two, you get back to a list that 20,30,40,50 or more threads long.

Also it was nice to see a thread and know how many new replies there are, eg 5 new replies means I would read the last 5 only. This other method just doen't compare in my book.

Busy busy bees that you Mods are, I'm not trying to get up your nose. If nothing can be done then so be it, but it was one of the nicest features about the last forum.

Damn - you b*tches complain.

I am just glad the forum is back up and running. All the problems will be sorted out in time, i'm sure. :D

So please stop whining and understand that the mods are giving up their time (alot of time) to do this - they aren't getting paid. Be patient FFS.

The intent of this thread isn't to complain, or piss anybody off. The Mods don't have to concern themselves with any of these until they are ready, and I'm sure they know it.

It is here simply to list problems, or suggestions because a list will be created sometime or another. Remember the Mods even asked for this in the last forum before it went down.

Everybody is grateful to the Mods for their work and effort over the past week, and for some time to come.

Don't try and slag us off as b*tches, the Mods are big enough boys to hold their own and I'm sure they don't need you to try and help them Humantuckshop.

Have you noticed those last post icons:
http://forums.overclockers.co.nz/images/ocnz/lastpost.gif

Hit them - they'll automatically take you to the last page of a thread ( handier than last time, when you only went to the first page regardless ).

I think it's actually easier to locate the "latest post" in VB than UT. The "view new posts" on the top right hand corner takes you to a list of threads which has new posts since your last visit. If you click on the little ˇ§down arrow iconˇ¨ at beginning of a thread, it takes to you the new posts of that thread directly. You don't have to browse through from the beginning of the thread. I think that's pretty good. It's a new forum with more functions to play with. It takes time to get used it.

KJ, you are actually an avid suporter of the new 'last posts' link, and you're right, I am loving it already. But better still, in the 'latest post' page, do you think it would be handy to have how many new posts there are listed in each thread when viewing it?

LMAO @ city's new avatar :D

We should be more grateful to the mods for the huge amounts of time and effort they put into this forum. We can come up with a list of small niggles later if neccesary, ATM just let them sort the bigger things out....

I like the new forum software, Something I wish I could do however, is to completly customize it, Now that would ROCK :)

*dreams* :P

Would be good if the members location under their avatar showed what city they are from.

yea its kinda low priority tho dont u think lol

but it is rather pointless having it there if it's only going to show country since pretty much all of us are in NZ....

I don't think alot of thast stuff is doable, unless one of you wants to hack vb, which is commercial software, and I don't think that is entirely legal

actually vbulletin encourages it.. as it adds features to their product.. someone else does all the groundwork and they steal it for their latest release... saves them a bit of work ;)

yes, city can be shown, it is on the to-do list.
