Networking knoppix and 2K?

Have been having a play around with knoppix lately.

I know I should STFW, (well I have, inconclusively) ...

How can I let a linux ... in particular knoppix PC access Win 2K shares on servers ... I am supposing that it should be somehow possible to log into the 2k network?

you'll need to install/enable samba (the windows sharing protocol)...

Thanks Mird. I knew it was something along those lines. ... And now I also know how to reset the root password. I'd forgotten how to do that.
