View Full Version : MSI Hammer mobo (look at the ........)

Check out these MSI Mobos for the Hammer, what struck me was that there is no lugs on the ZIF socket 754 for for a HSF, but 2 bllody big holes spread wide apart. No caps near the socket so it must be designed for a bloody BIG HSF.

On the second red mobo, you can clearly see the outline of wher the HSF's are meant to go.

I can't read Japanese :(

That first (green) mobo has a strange placing of the AGP slot. :p

Socket 754??? Does that mean they aren't backwards compatible :(

**** that thing is getting a big heatsink! :eek:

Why are these boards so tidy / empty :confused:

Cause most of the Northbridge is integrated on board the Hammer, big savings on Mobo design, cost and better performance.
