nice work there! looks as though a number of peoples have been doing well with some of the new p4's.
what sort of temps are you getting with that setup? i had a bit of a gander the other day regarding those cases... they look really cool (pun intended), but not so sure about the price...

Very nice !
how much did that "case" set you back? ;)
>>what sort of temps are you getting with that setup?
LOL, very very cold, :D :D

i figured it would be rather cold, just curious to hear some real world values, not some marketing ones :p
*not cynical at all*
case at styles will set you back about $1500 or so

With the chill control at default setting, idle temp as per evaporator head = - 22 c Winbond says -3 c
under load evaporator = -13 c and winbond says 8 c
Haven't played with the chill control settings thus far and I have no case fans installed
Cost = *Lots*
Stay tuned for a "review" coming soon
cheers
Have another WeetBix there Stevo
I'm sure you can do more . . .
:)

Well I fed it another Bix and the best I can post is 3752 with more vcore and it appears sweet stable at 3676.
However, I have still not tuned up the chill control yet.
I'm kinda thinking though, that this is about it?
To have any chance of 4 g or so I think only a 2.8 or 3.06 would be the only chip capable.
On air, the cpu would post at 3505 but was no way stable and I think it was stable at around 3325.
So far then its safe to say 3676 vs 3325
And with cool temps.
Still good fun for a cpu thats just over $400
might play some more........:D

try get your hands on a northwood B, atomic got thiers up to 3.2 from 2.5 on AIR cooling.
and how often do you see an amd chip hit those speeds...:P

i seem to believe there's 3 AMDs in one thread who have hit the equivalent of about 3.1 - 3.2 GHz (and they're 2100+'s too)
;) :D

3.1 - 3.2 (estimated PR) is still a litte way off 3.6 - 3.7 though, very nice OC.

Uuummmm...... If you read carefully I said that on air it would post at 3505 and appeared stable at 3325

yeah, but $160 for a xp2100 is abit less than $400 for a p4, and then + a vapochill

Wot MB are you using with this CPU? Any mods to the board or just standard?

Yo Bob,
Board is Abit BH7 with no mods. Excellent cheap board with good reviews that have shown it beyond 230 FSB.(unlocked cpu)
Having said that , have a read ... http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NDU5
the Abit IC7-G looks really interesting with a 800fsb cpu
With an o/c' ed 800fsb cpu and dual DDR  ... In a Vapochill ...
When will it end...... ??:D
