Enjoy ... these things enable EVERYTHING that gigabyte have decided to hide ......... remember to use CTRL+F1 on the main page of your bios to see some of the more advanced settings

Sad state of affairs when you have to use a modded bios to enable features that are standard on an Abit or Epox board..!

true :( .... but now this goes beyond what is avaliable on abit (well my abit anyway) .... more options than you can shake a stick at :D

that's good.. but you have to wonder if these extra features are worth anything at all... and you have to trust a dodgy modified bios..

not dodgy at all what gives you that idea??
.......... maybe you should try it and decide ......... lots of settings there that are helpful....... for instance by default the board shadows your vid cards bios in the memory which can cause problems.(does cause problems).... with these bioses you can disable it...... you can also now setup your computer to turn on after typing a password into the keyboard could you do that before ...no

I wouldn't use the 7e its a little faster but still has problems (the WOL won't turn off for one). (actully I lie, I am using it now.... gotta remember to change that back!)

you don't really need to use the modded F6 or F7e cos you can adjust pretty much all the options you would need anyway (excepet for wait for f1 on error booting :P), the modded F4 is handy for rev V1.0 users, as it has all the settings of F6/7, but works and isn't a beta (F6 no work properly on V1.0)

the standard gigabyte bios doesn't have an option to turn off something like video card shadowing ..??

Every other board I've ever had does (abit, asus, soltek even)

/marks down another reason not to buy gigabyte
