Play Songs on WinAmp at Startup

ok, searched, found nothin, figured this is the right area for it...

how do i have songs start playin automatically when i start winamp?

Go Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices Properties, then bounce to the Sounds tab. You can then set sounds for stuff like shutting down and all that jazz.
If it was really Winamp you wanted, there is a way to make a simple script in msconfig so it will load, but it is over my head. :)

or add the winamp in this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run

or add a shortcut to winamp in your startup folder.

for winamp to actually start playing I assume it will have a switch to do it, that a "/" or "-" type switch not a on/off type switch.

he means when he starts winamp guys, not windows.

I don't know if you can, but it would be a good idea to post this in the winamp feature requests on the winamp forums.

what i mean is when i click on the quick-launch icon and winamp opens up i want winamp to start playin songs automatically

My quicklaunch icon does that ... wait ... it goes to my playlist file though. Why not just set your quicklaunch icon to do thaat?

click on my quicklaunch icon, my playlist comes up, then i have to click play

you can wake yourself up with music too - just make a .bat with something like this in it:

@echo off
c:
cd c:\Progra~1\Winamp\
winamp.exe c:\Path\To\Playlist.m3u
exit

and point the scheduled task whatsit at it

make task scheduler open a winamp playlist every time you turn on your computer. easy as that.
