Yeah its a good search engine, very specific just like old google. But google is still my fav:). Used to use Altavista but wasnt specific enough. I think altavista was whats called a directory search engine correct? and google an index one?

Yahoo! (http://www.yahoo.com/) would be what you're thinking about when you think about directory services.... ;)

Yeah Fast/All the Web is a good search web searcher.
Have you seen the latest Google Gimmick where you can get paid to answer questions or pay to get a question answered.

Google-bar is built into Opera, so I never load a search page, ever.
I've always just used altavista. Is google really better?
But when I want to do a detailed search at home I just use copernic which uses all the search engines at once

Isn't it amazing how "google" has become a word in and of itself. Like crapper (for Toilets - thanks mird), and Hoover for vacum cleaners. Google has become a word used as a replacement for "search" itself. Example... "Just do a google for it." Instead of what was once "Just do a search for it."
Just an observation.

Well it is by far the best search utility in my opinion.
hmmm. How long before it'll be added to the Oxford Dictionary. :)
