I just thuoght i'd share this link I found today. It's much better than your average processor identifier. It goes that step further.

 cool does that mean it would overclock real well? (Apart from the fact it's a T-bred)
I've had it to around 2.2ghz on 1.7V, stable (as in playing RtCW all day). Thats with a pretty average HSF thats not made for overclocking. Could get around 2.5ghz with decent air, dunno how much with water.
But its pretty nice to see "downgraded from 2800+".

yeah umm, for like the gazillionth time, QMB don't seem to understand the differences between the CPUs.
basically if they say they don't have any tbredBs in stock you can just about guarantee that they have ;)
AFAIK all their athlon xp stocks should be tbredBs...

Hmmm, just got me an XP2100+ TbredB yesterday :D
I entered this: AXDA2100DUT3C 9771507252785 AIUHB0306MPMW
and got the following:
Athlon XP Processor High-end
Core Thoroughbred-B
CPU Model 8
Performance Rating 2100+
Working frequency 1733 MHz
Package Type OPGA
Operating Voltage 1.6 V
Max Die Temperature 90° C

FSB Frequency 266 MHz
Stepping Code AIUHB
Manufacture Year 2003
Manufacture Week 06
Production Batch M
Batch Production Number 2785
Downgraded from 2500+
Thing is, how could it be Downgraded from a 2500+ when they haven't produced 2500+ on the Tbred core?
ahaha, thats a damn good point.
The "real" reason I heard for the "Downgraded from" part was that it didn't run 100% stable at that speed at the voltage it was rated on. But it musn't be true if there are no actual 2500+'s.
There must be another explanation.

Well was a bit suspicious from the start as to how they could know that.
However, the rest of that information can be gained from just doing a little research and then you can determine, without a pc, weither it is what you are after.
Eg. mine: AXDA2100DUT3C 9771507252785 AIUHB0306MPMW
The first obvious part is the TbredB and the 0306 means week 6 of 2003. Then last few letters of the first string; U means 1.6V, T means Max temp. of 90, not sure about the 3 and the C means FSB of 266. The rest i.e PR, working freq and the rest are quite trivial.
I have a link somewhere which explains each letter/number one by one, ill get back here when i find it ;)

Ok, after leaving it stock for a week (I know! I just wanted to let it 'settle in' :) ) I decided to have a play.
So far with no prob's Its got to 170 FSB. I've been taking it cautious so ive had Vcore at 1.75 and temps are hovering about 40 idle.
As soon as I have some time on my hands and Im feeling more adventurous Ill give it some more.
/ Hugs XP2100+ TbredB, PC3200 Ram and Abit mobo :D
Hey guys, any way to find out what my serial/code is of my tbredb from within windows lol
dam i shouldve written it down grr.

If you look at the second lot of numbers
9771507252785
and see the last 4 digits, -2785
then the 2 digits just before it,
that's 25
that is rating which AMD "downgraded it from a 2500+"
im not joking, there's plenty of sites that shows it
I do have the URL for it, (its on the other computer, I'd send it soon)
Cheers.
