View Full Version : ELVIS mod PART 1
I've been talking about an ELVIS mod for some time now so I thought I'd post something...... after putting in a blue LED this morning (sorry Oberon for being boring ;)) and being too lazy to do some research on putting a blue LED in my floppy I decided to start the ELVIS mod..... I would have done both sides and top but bloody Real groovie only had one ****in Elvis poster..... anyway I might have a look round for a couple of 70's Elvis posters(coz that's Elvis at his coolest ;))
BTW that CD-ROM is not mine..... my one packed it in.... it's a loaner
Next on the list is a mirror ball finish to the front :D

hmm interesting but not my cup of tea. Putting a poster on the side of a case and counting it as a mod is not a mod. I realise you going to more but until then.

TheChosen_1, you couldn't be more wrong if u tried.
A mod is a MODIFICATION.
something that distinguishes it from stock.
Shooting a case with a shotgun is a mod.
Scribbling "Runs with the power of JESUS!" on the side is a mod.
It doesn't have to be incredibly invasive, nor impressive to be a mod.
Get what i'm saying?
This may not be a particlarly impressive mod, but its well done, and looks quite cool :D
As long as the owner is happy, then it's a good mod.
Don't be such a pedant :p
And very nice work I.R http://forums.overclockers.co.nz/images/icons/icon14.gif

I for one love it!!
Try the blue suede thing it may help with noise reduction. Also remember how much the King loved his gold!
Well done but don't stop there!

I'll post some pics in about 3 weeks ;)
And I used Duraceal to put it on but being a tard I should have done some backing with doulbe sided tape to stop the sagging :( Oh well there's always next time :D

Another option (for next time obviously) would be to use a little glue, just to hold the picture in place. And then spray the hole panel with that varnish/enamel/clear stuff (what ever it's called). Because the stuff dries rock hard it would also protect the panel, in particular the picture from scratches and other damage.

Say, seeing as though you used duraseal, how'd you cut out that fan so neatly?
I cut the pic and duraseal into little segments like the pic below and then folded them back and taped them down. The red is the edge of the blow hole ;)
