I run a soon to be retired Geforce2mx, and I have just installed 27.30 on my system. Its been a long time since I last downloaded 23.11 which has (under)powered my Mx since about 1998 or sometime last millenium

2d Kwality looks a lot better. Is this normal? I have never noticed this before when changing dets - been through 10.80, 12.90 etc, but have never noticed. For some reason 27.30 just makes colours look vibrant, and the horrible ghosting I am normally subject to seems less apparant. Its like these amaxing ambervision glasses have been installed in the VGA output or something ! Wicked/!

If I am not having an LSD flashback, then what is one of the good 2d drivers out there that I could also have a spin with?

Go to www.nvidia.com and download the 29.42's - I don't know how good they will be but it pays to try them all out.

Failing that, there are the 21.83/85's, the 23.82's etc, so yeah - just try them all out and then you can be teh uber driver g33k for GF2MX's.

Detonators don't change 2D Quality.

What they MAY change is compatibility between your card and a noisy neighbour such as a motherboard. This may or may not reduce the noise your card can anticipate, and therefore may or may not improve ghosting etc.

But in general, detonators don't change 2D Quality. Filter manufacturer does.
