ok
i come home from school, my pc is off- thats wierd, i left it on this morning.
anyway, so im booting and the monitor goes *bling* and the text is all pink at the post, so im like- ok thats wierd, maybe the xp screen wont be fuxx0red but, no it is.

so i run the colour temperature settings and fiddle em around till i get as close to "normal" colours, however that pink hue is still there, for example- mirds and silverpriests avatar's are both bright red.
heres a screenshot, but it might be normal colours in the screenie, i dunno caus im in pink vision at the mo

ah, i cant upload it!

mabye ya pins on your 'D' vga connector (it's a D plug 'aint it?) have somehow gone to buggery, either that of it's not plugged in properly (mine wasn't in properly and it was all greenish). Is the screen makin any funny noises?

Sounds like either the monitor or your vid card... rather then windows..

Obviously you need to try your monitor a different computer, or a different monitor on your computer..

Well it can't be windows if it's doing it during the post. Try the screen on another pc or vice versa. Could be vid card, test that out too if you can. Where's ya shot?

uh oh, monitor is working with my laptop...
now it must be the video card, what can i do in order to fix/solve this? preferably without the expensive option.

take it out, give it the once over, blow it etc. put it back in (make sure it's in properly of course). hope it's not bugered, that's a hefty piece of vid card u got. what brand may I ask?
