I didnt even know what BIOS was til recently and yes I am a total noob but Im installing a 1gig celly on my Slot 1 BX mobo
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/products/ga6bxc.htm
and thought it prudent to update(flash?) it b4hand.
Do I need to d/l all BIOS listed on the site above or just the most recent?
e most recent BIOS doesnt have anything I need but my cpu upgrade may have been covered in one ages ago so are the BIOS cumulative or is each separate?

you just need the most recent... it'll cover everything in all the previous bios updates

also please remember to flash your bios only when in pure dos... not in a win2000 or XP cmd window, or in WinME Dos... but in pure dos.
ie: grab a floppy disk and make a boot disk on a win98 machine, and boot from A: drive

ha, the floppy part didn't work for me cause thats the reason why i updated bios - my floppy didn't work. just ran the file from dos and worked fine. BUT my floppy still didn't work so no real gain from the exercise. its not the floppy drive OR the cable so looks like it might be time to return and if its stuffed, well, out goes the FIC AN11 and bring on teh gigabyte
