What is the lowest price of TI4200 128M? Ive found Cardex 128M for $531, and pixelview for $495, all incl gst.
Can I find lower prices? If yes where? cheers

you could spend the extra few pennies and get the Gainward card, they are very good overclockers and have killa tvin.

Yes.. you must bear in mind you will get what you pay for... ie: if you buy the cheapest no name brand.. it will be made with the cheapest components. Higher ns ram (worse for overclocking), crappy filters (image quality) etc

www.starlyte.co.nz has a Leadtek for $473 (inc GST) I think. That's about the cheapest.
Edit: and it has Video In/Out too :)

Hot damn! $388 for the Leadtek 64mb
Thats got me in a real good mood - I was thinking about upgrading to an mx440, but if its only a hundred more for a leadtek ti4200 (well, maybe $130-150, but its close;) ) then I might just be able to stretch....
Oww-weee - starlyte have a damn sharp price!
hmmmm if i put it on credit then...... ......i will be really broke in 6 or so weeks time
edit: Thank god starlyte dont have credit :D

Only $461.25 today. Why is there such a big difference between Starlyte and everybody else ?

hmm the choice is hard to make actually. If I get the Cardex 128M I ll have Video-in, but if I go for Leadtek 64M its faster but much cheaper....

Basically if you plan to keep the card for a year or so, get the 128MB if you plan to upgrade in about 6 months get the 64MB.
The reason for the above statement: The new generation of games will utilise more RAM due to more advanced textures and stuff.
:D

The other thing you have to think about is resale value. What sort of loss are you wanting to take when it comes time to upgrade again? Also which card is going to be more attractive to future buyers? So there could be a benefit in the added features even if you don't end up useing them personally.

I'm not sure, but I like their prices on generic PC2700 DDR RAM. It is almost half the price of some other e-tailers. ($253 for 512MB)

I think that might have something to do with the rising NZ$. When they order the next shipment the price should drop further

My understanding is that most outlets do not hold stock because of the fluctuation in pricing. It will be the wholesalers who will pass on the savings or otherwise. So, I would expect other e-tailers to follow suit.
if you're in Auckland
e-one.co.nz
have a two day sale going on
included is the
Leadtek GeForce4 Ti4200 / 128MB / DDR / Tv-out & DVI $398 + GST
not that I care anymore
;)
$447.75

Just found out that the Leadtek were cheaper since they had a slower memory compared to Cardex...
Yeah but the Gainward one has a brand of ram I've never heard of before  well at least my 64MB one does ;)

From what I've seen of poeple posting overclocks on the gainward and leadtek - the ram on them both seems to top out around 580 or so, but I have seen a few leadteks hitting say 610-620.

The Leadtek will have better 2d picture quality. Which is a major bonus.

Default is 250/444. I'm currently running 315/545 which is not too shabby, remembering that these are the slowest full blown G4's. Only review I could find of the G4 128Mb was of the X-micro model which managed 295/540...

In the 4200 of leadtek page it says:
Default clock speed 300/650 Mhz core/memory
is it a misprint?

It is a misprint. That is the default of a Ti4600

Isn't that the clock speed for the GF4 ti4600. I am running my ti4200 at 270/540, any higher and I get random resets

Yes, that is the clock speed for a Ti4600. On the Leadtek site it states 300/650 for not only the Ti4200, but for the Ti4400 aswell.
