Do they make a 1.6b? I'm looking forward to trying me 1.6a in a 533FSB board. Anyone tried one yet. I see the BD7II is out.

1.6A would be betta for HIGH OCing coz it got a higher multiplier. This matters when u low on budget and dont have $ for a 2.53B. Im pretty sure the B is just an A with a lower multiplier, so i cant see why there n e betta.

lower multiplier means HIGHER FSB = GOOD :D

nah mird, i mean HIGH OC's, like 16 x 200 = 3.2ghz
if it was a B chip it would be maxed out at 12 x 200 = 2.4ghz
this is assuming u cant get above 200mhz fsb.

YOu mean the same thing as the 'b' PIIIs.

My old chip would run easy as at 152mhz, but that was only a 12% increase in mhz or so - compared to the celerons where real high overclocks come from low and easy and stable FSBs.

Limited bandwidth with chips with high multipliers - so I guess there are some advantages either way, untill you realize that these new boards love high FSB. I'd go to the 533 bus, but thats just me - I think bandwidth is more useful then mhz in a lot of scenarios, particularly when processors are at high frequencies to start with.
