Hi. I recently bought some flashy new HD 212 headphones for gaming and they're good but some games are quite bass heavy (you were right MadMax).
Are there graphic equalizer programs for these sorts of problems? But since it's gaming i'm interested in the program can't be running in the background and of course it must effect in-game sound. I want to just run the program, adjust the sound, then close the program and run a game.
I'm posting here instead of pulling something off the net because I want a good safe one and you guys know about this sort of stuff so I wanted to check with you first.
Thanks

My advice is upgrade your soundcard. You've now got a decent set of Headphones so it'll be worth shelling out a bit of cash. If price is an issue, I'd suggest going for the Forturissmo for ~$100. The other positive of that card is it uses the same drivers as the GTXP which has an exqualizer tab built in so you'll be taking advantage on increased performance of headphones plus the ability to play with the equalizer.

My $0.45

Thanks for the advice. Who makes the Futurismo and do you know of an online place that sells them please?
When choosing a sound card do you have to be concerned with if it will fit your motherboard like everything else or are they standardized?
