Heres the story, I got a replacement from Styles on a brand NEW Hyundai 256mb PC-133 ram, and it worked fine when I installed it, but heres the problem.......

Cas 2@PC100-PC boots but never load windows
Cas 3@PC133-Windows boots but while playing games for 5 mins and then the PC crashes, arghhh!.

And then I said to my self “ahh who cares about upping the Cas and PC-??? Of the ram, so I tried Ocing my machine.

Cas3@FSB 108-PC boots, games run perfectly etc etc.
Cas3@FSB 110-PC boots, games crash like after 5 seconds of playing it, even 3dmark2001 crashes.

Tried higher FSB’s but same problem occurred.

So now, is there a problem with my ram which I think the problem might be, or maybe one of my settings are wrong or something.

I know this is an odd situation but should I have the trouble by sending it back to Styles RMA Department and wait more than a 1 month (the manufacture takes ages to send a replacement) to get back a new Stick of 256mb Ram.

Note: Ram works perfectly at Cas3@PC100

yeah i've got two sticks of Hyundai PC133, one is pretty primo (gets to 160Mhz 2-2-2-5) but has a weird issue where it won't boot into windows @ CAS3 when running faster than 133MHz... CAS2 works fine right up to 160MHz but windows freezes at CAS3. weird stuff huh.

the other one (which is phyically identical) is a dodgy cheapo i got from oaid. it has some really strange habits. he has some weird issues with under stress, and it worked fine in my rig @ 150MHz for 12hrs, crunching THINK, Prime95, and doing the Sandra burn-in... and it worked fine for a while after that, but every now and then it would throw a spaz and cause a page fault, then it'd work fine again for ages, then throw a spaz. weird stuff. i've got it in my dual celly server at the moment running @ 100MHz CAS2, and it's pretty good... every now and then it throws a spaz, but otherwise it's fine...

yeah, weird hyundai stuff :) but if it's rated at PC133 then it should handle 100MHz CAS2 no problem. can you try the stick in another machine?
