hey guys,

is it possible to buy a XP unlocking kit from somewhere in NZ?

I'd like to buy one but most overseas stores won't ship to NZ.

cheers

Don't know of any NZ retailers that sell them... but why would you want one? Too scared to unlock it yourself.....?

Do it yourself XP unlock kit:

1x Circuitworks Conductive Pen (Buy DSE or borrow)
2x Sewing Pins
1x Tube of superglue
1x Roll of cellotape
1x knife with sharp-tip
1x scrap of plastic

And about 15mins of waiting time :)

www.tomshardware.com even has a downloadable video showing you how to do it...

I unlocked my XP just fine - without a video even. I took my time to make sure it was done correctly tho. I left the superglue to dry overnight and then when I connected each bridge I let it dry for an hour.

Nebulus: What the hell do you need a 'scrap of plastic' for?

I said I let the SUPERGLUE dry overnight.

And the CircuitWorks pen takes 15 minutes to dry and 45 minutes to achieve maximum conductivity.
