Random resets are most likely caused by a failing PSU or HSF.
It can be caused by mainboard as well.
Check your fans and voltages.

My comp was doing the same thing. About 2 days ago I installed norton antiviru$ and sure enough... 3 files were infected with backdoor somethin rather. Cleaned them up and it hasn't rebooted since:). Could be worth a try.

hehe I just had a reset a few minutes ago, suspect my Hyena 300W psu as it is of great crappiness. Must replace it, Leadman here I come..........

Can I join the random reset club ?
After the storms here lately (several blackouts) mine shuts off for no reason and will not power on untill I either remove and replace te CMOS jumper, or unplug the power connector from the mobo :)

Going shopping now for another PSU...

Might be worth checking the modem as well.
If you don't have a phoneline filter, you're susceptible to surges down the line.
It's one of the most common problems and can fry the whole computer.

Your joking? just in the last day or 2 i've been getting random resets also, I've just ordered a 350watt Enermax to hopefully fix the problems. But if all you guys are getting the same thing maybe it's not my PSU after all? oh well I need a new PSU anyway.

Grrr!!

I get them too.
It's my PSU.
It blew up 3 months ago, but still works  (well sort of :) )

I can't be bothered looking for a new AT power supply though.
