okay i got a pm relating to having custom skins for a clan..
this is a good idea..it cant be done server side but you can all use merciless [ downloads sect] and set up to have exactly the same skins ingame..downing the oppositions skins as well is worthwhile..blood is a great hit tracker and diff colours do help from the air etc..just like it did on the eastern front.. ive accidently mowed down the friendlies on a bombing run...by the time you see the name tag its too late when youre diving at a control point ...
so ive made up the rfas you need to add to merciless and the folders you need to get everything going in 1.3 and road to rome
im quite happy to skin out clan stuff but..you must have the pics of all markings and cammo etc that you want and historical pics are cool as well....i can easily adjust existings skins as i got a pretty big collection of stuff most here havent seen..

waffen ss troops for "MONTE CASSINO" for 1.3
well i decided to do these as i was playing with them for our tankbattle ..i dont know wether they're historically correct or not...germans used tigers in italy as well..i know that much..and MONTE_CASSINO seems well set up for an ss division clash
you must have merciless texturesets_v1 and the merciless blood fx..if you want the flags then use the historic addon as well...
okay the folders go in the \Battlefield1942\TextureSets\BF1942...the skins for cassino are alreAdy in that folder..
then the rfas go in here:
Battlefield1942\Mods\MC1942_TexSet\archives\bf1942 \levels
then you must edit the two init cons in notepad like this:
Make sure your \Battlefield1942\Mods\BF1942\init.con
looks like this:
