I got a program called MySweetNix that can auto change my nickname. So there's probably some hack somewhere.

How would post quotas work, there may be times where you really need to get some more info down, but then you can't because you have to wait till 12am.

this is probably the wrong place to have brought this up but oh well!
a post quota (in some ideal perfect non-existant forum software) would work like this:
-every person would start off with a quota of posts, say 6 per day or maybe 40 or so per week.
-the quota could be extended in one of several ways. moderators could do it (but that would mean more work for them). or it could be based on length of membership (not such a good idea).
the best way imho would be to have a very high quota (say 20 per day) or no quota to start with. if in the eye of the mods it is deemed that a user isn't making a very good contribution to the forums (ie posting crap), their quota gets reduced or one is imposed.
anyway it's just an incentive to only post when something worthwhile is on offer. :)
/edit:
and in response to G4L, the idea is that you keep a couple in reserve. if you really had that many quality posts to make, i'm sure the moderators would quickly extend your quota. ;)

When you put it like that it doesn't sound like such a bad idea swiftynz. It would probably be a very good thing to have.:)
