OK, I recently ran SiSoftware SANDRA and it told me to disable all the IP services (FTP etc) as they are a security risk (I don't use them). The problem is, I've seen that dialog box before but I cannot for the life of me find it again! Can someone please point it out for me?
connecting to the internet is a security risk.
:D
what OS you running? how are you connected to the net?
/edit, ok I see your OS is winXP in your sig, hmm don't know about that,
also, I don't really think it's a security risk, do you have a firewall?

No, I don't have a firewall. And, even Microsoft says it is a security risk, they themselves tell you to do disable them, just not HOW  (The reason IE patches are released daily)
I swear, there was this little dialogue box with ~15 boxes checked I can't find it....
/edit I have used trial firewalls, was getting port scans every 2 minutes. scary:eek:
