eh sorry if a topic like this pisses people off, but I can finally afford dsl and Im lazy as **** so can other people tell me decent modems/routers, and if there are any I should stay away from, Im looking to link a few PCs + xbox that are currently on a hub to the net. But its only a 10mb hub so if I can find a decent router I might go for that.

This D-Link DSL500 is nice, only downside is it has only one 10Mb port.

The DSL504 has a built in 4port 10/100 switch..........not that you need it :p

But as I was saying on icq, they're still quite expensive.

Dynalink anything ;)

The D-Link is all good, not sure about the Alcatel first-hand - but I hear good things :).

I just picked up a Nokia MW1122 second hand... it's a nice unit (just wish I could find a way to boost the wireless signal).

Using an Alcatel Speedtouch home which you can hack into the pro version.

Fully recommend it :)

Be wary of the Micronet ones. The latest ones have a firmware bug - when you update the settings they don't save any changes, so they just remain at factory defaults. The ones with Firmware version 2.7k are fine tho. Others with firmware versions 2.7d, 2.7f need to be flashed with 2.7k - this is a slighty more intricate procedure than flashing your mobo's BIOS.....
