Well, some of you know that we used to do lots of cooler reviews a long long time ago. The reason that we pulled out is coz we don't want to do a review on a product that we are selling. Some people think we can not do a partial review on those.
Thus, we don't really have any data on the "newer" HSF. What I am hoping to do is that I am going to test the HSF myself and publish the Co/W rating here. It's not going to be an official review, just some data that people can refer to.
So, here are the test system:
CPU: AMD 1800+ TBredA
MB: Epox 8DRA+
Memory: Corsair XMS-3200
VGA: Leadtek Geforce 4 Ti-4200 64MB
HD: Maxtor DM60+
I ramped up the CPU to 1932 MHz and V/Core to 1.85V to maximize the power output. The programs used to stress the CPU are CPU Stability (CPU Warm Test). The load temperature is taken after running the program for half an hour. The core temperature is taken via a temperature sensor (Senfu temp probe) sitting beside the core. The room temperature is taken with another Senfu probe.
