[H]arls

Just a reminder of what people need to bring to Equinox, in case ya'll get caught up with other things and/or have a terrible memory, like myself. :)

Standard items:
- Entry form. Get it HERE (http://equinox.net.nz/entryform.doc) (Its about 700k because some clever chap thought it would be a good idea to put whacking great images in it  ) This needs to be signed and presented upon entry to the event
- ID
- Computer/Monitor/Keyboard/Mouse/Headphones/small nuclear generator/mousepad etc etc
- 2x power leads
- Power board
- 10 Meter UTP network cable
- Little bit of $$$ for food, drink, bribes & hookers
- $7 for the BBQ at Deviants if you are attending
- Legal game CD's for those competing in tournaments
- Your WINDOWS CD. Just in case.

If you are sleeping onsite:
- Snooze gear (sleeping bag, blanket, cardboard box etc)
- Towel to give other clans members wet towel beatings
- Vet Lube or human equivelant

Toiletries
-Toothbrush & toothpaste
-Canned shower (eg lynx)
-Soap (on a rope)
-Panty Liners for p1eb0y
-Id say shaver, but f**k it, I'll just be prickly

Misc Gear
-Blank CDs, if you're that way inclined ;)
-Digi/film Camera if you have one
-Neon flashing tittie signs

Uhh...Chemicals...
-C10H15NO
-C10H14N2
-C8H10N4O2
^ If I take all 3 at once, will my heart explode? Hook a brother up fellas ;)

[H]arls specific Items:
- No-Doze
- TheCrow & Neems
- Pants

I'll try and make a few extra network cables up at work before Thursday, because I guarantee someone will forget. :)
If anyone can think of something I missed speak up, or face the terrible vengeance of the wet towel.

Food, or $s for food. You'll probably need $30-$60 for the 3 days ( if you're like me ) for food and drink.

Blank CD's. Cos there will be a lot of.... Linux distro's....

Windows CD. Trust me, when you need these, you REALLY need these....

Camera and film if it's not a digital one.

Large wooden board with favourite p1mp1ng slogan painted on sign, with high contrast for maximum market awareness. ( flashing neon lights are good too )

Toiletries:

i dont think it works as well as v or something does, i've found my eyes stay open, but i still feel like crap. with v or heaps of coke, concentration actually improves for a while.

well that certainly explains a few things...

Anyway, I think some friends bought one for a mate as a wedding present, I am pretty sure they got it from peaches and cream, they have a website, although I'm sure Auckland has no shortage of similar shops.

I don't think USB has enough power to do intense things like charging a battery.

I have a few cables, one for crow, one in case pieboy cant find his, and a few smaller ones about 6m each, plus a crossover adapter, just in case ;)

I doubt everyone will be exactly 10meters from a switch, so we can mix cables around each other to reach.

Theres a point - everyone put a piece of tape around your cables with your name on it, or have some way to identify it. Its going to be electrical spaghetti in there.

TheCrow
22-01-2003, 04:25 PM
Yeah my longest one is 5m, and that was fine for A3 so ill bring it, but if its not long enough ill use one of your spare ones.

or u could do it the even cheaper way

if ya want ill take my crimper up

~ $0.70 x2 for the plugs
~$0.50m for cable & i can make them up up there if ya want

Meh...
I needed a cheap working mouse for EQX until I can save up for the MX700 and their cheapest mouse was $28  but I guess I can give it to my Mum when I save up enough for a decent one.
I bought the 10 metre cord for $22... I s'pose it isn't too bad, as it should last a while...
Actually, ****! I just realised I got charged more than I should of! Those bastards owe me $10! I must go see them tomorrow...
