View Full Version : Urgent Help: Transport to EQX

Hi guys, im registered for the nox but I havent paid yet.. decided i do want to go now. Paying isnt a problem.. but getting there is...

Im in tokoroa which is about 1 hour from hamilton and taupo. I was just wondering if anyone going up to it and going through tokoroa (SH1) would be able to give me a ride up...

I can probably stay at my brothers place in auckland on the thursday night if people are going up then ... he lives in bushlands park drive albany... not far from the stadium.

If anyone can help me out with a ride up there.. and a ride back afterwards for me and my case, bag and monitor that would be great.

I forget who it was but someone was going up and said they would be stopping in Taupo I think and would be willing to pick up anyone from there. Could be a option if you could get yourself to Taupo.

If youre travelling on sh1, tokoroa is about 45mins - an hour after taupo... the info center in tok is on the main road.. could meet there.. ill talk to city..

Im sorry man, Id love to help but we are full up. :(
We are heading that way but Crow and Neem's are going to be hanging out the windows as it stands now with all the gear we are taking.

Somebody give this man a lift - we need more OCNZ at the nox. :)

Yeah.. but you cant take a huge case, monitor and a large bag on public transport.. hopefully.... i might be able to get my mum to give me a ride there...

Crazysurfa, err, yes you can, you just need to package them well, take out the important breakable parts (HD's, expansion cards, heatsink) and talk to the train people beforehand, as there will more than likely be an extra surcharge for the extra baggage.
Ring tranzrail and ask em :)

heh- i think most non aucklanders will be leaving for nox "in a couple of days" :D

ive always been amazed how no one has yet vandilised roadsigns replacing the "A" in auckland with an "F"
