the best thing to do in this situation is, visit

www.pricespy.co.nz

look for motherboards around the $200 mark that look promising, make a shortlist, and start reading reviews (google is your friend).

Hans had a Soyo Dragon Platinum Edition KT-333 with all the bits going for $170 just before xmas & no one bought it.

Topic here (http://forums.overclockers.co.nz/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4065)

Might pay to give him a message. :)

Soltek's kt400 motherboard has what your looking for, the onboard ac97 can use the mic and line/in ports for the extra channels for 5.1 if you don't use them

Abit AT7 MAX 2.
KT400
check out the specs.
Only prob:
costs quite a bit more than an ASUS nforce2!!!

Or, if you don't have that kind of money to swing around...
try a Gigabyte GVAXP. I recently bought one, and I am really feeling comfortable with it.
