Duron 1100 (morgan) on Abit KT7A no go?

Hi All, just upgraded a friends CPU from a Duron 800 to a Morgan 1100 and it is a no-go.

I have flashed the bios with the latest revision from ABit's website and tried clearing the CMOS settings but to no-avail.

Any ideas on what could be wrong, I thought this would be a straight and easy upgrade for him.

Try a slightly older BIOS version (the newest one is the A9) try the 7N Version. Newer doesn't necessarily mean better when it comes to BIOS versions.

they only work on version 1.3 of the board...... same as the XPs.... some people have been able to get them to work on version 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 though .... go search on the forum at places like www.amdmb.com and www.hardocp.com
